Den Auftakt des Freitags-Kolloquiums zu Problemen vergleichender Städtegeschichte im Wintersemester 2017/2018 gestaltet Olof Blomqvist von der Universität Stockholm, der derzeit als Gastwissenschaftler am Institut für vergleichende Städtegeschichte tätig ist. 

Olof Blomqvist spricht in seinem Vortrag über: “Integration and Exclusion - prisoners of war in early 18th century Sweden, Denmark and the Holy Roman Empire.” 

"In the early 18th century prisoners of war often lived in the middle of civilian society. The daily interaction between them and the local population provides us with a window into early modern perceptions of belonging and what was required for an outsider to be accepted as a member of the local community."
